Two hummingbird textile artworks included in a January 2026 group exhibition in London

Two of my works, Hummingbird Spreading Wings and Hummingbird Spreading Wings – Large Frame, will be exhibited as part of (IM)Material, a textile-focused group exhibition presented by BobCat Gallery.

The exhibition will take place at Putney Exchange Shopping Centre from 6 to 24 January 2026 and brings together artists working with textiles through a range of contemporary, material-led approaches. (IM)Material is co-curated by BobCat Gallery founder Catherine Sweet and textile artist and costume maker Elly Platt.

 

The hummingbird works shown in this exhibition are part of Avian Oasis, a sculptural textile series developed through close observation of real hummingbird species and their natural colour palettes.

 

The exhibition opens with a private view on Thursday 8 January, 6–8 pm, followed by a programme of public talks and demonstrations held throughout the exhibition period.
