Tambour hooks, also known as Luneville hooks, are now part of the Materials and Tools section.
These tools are essential for tambour and Luneville embroidery – the techniques used in couture to apply beads, sequins, and fine threads with speed and accuracy.
The hooks I offer are made in the EU with ash wood handles and brass screw fittings. Each one comes with a size 70 needle, the standard fine hook for working with lightweight threads, sequins, and beads. Unlike mass-produced versions, these hooks are turned in small batches, so every handle shows its own grain and character while giving reliable performance.
The collection includes several handle designs – from plain smooth wood to striped finishes and chess-inspired carved forms. All are practical working tools, shaped for comfort and control, and made to professional standards.
