I’m delighted to share that I have been accepted as a Licentiate Member (LSDC) of the Society of Designer Craftsmen (SDC)—one of the UK’s most prestigious organizations dedicated to contemporary craft and design.
Founded in 1887, the Society of Designer Craftsmen is the UK’s largest and oldest multidisciplinary society dedicated to professional craftspeople, including textile artists, ceramicists, woodworkers, and metalworkers. Membership is awarded to makers who demonstrate a high level of skill, originality, and dedication to their craft.
As a couture embroidery and textile artist, my work focuses on hand embroidery, couture embellishments, and contemporary textile design. Being recognized by the Society of Designer Craftsmen highlights my commitment to preserving traditional embroidery techniques while pushing creative boundaries in fashion and textile art.
