Hand-embroidered camellias in red and black sequins on fabric with a floral sketch. Promoting the Couture Camellias course on mastering Luneville embroidery for exquisite floral embellishments.

A new online course by embroidery and textile artist Ksenia Semirova is now open for enrolment

Couture Camellias: Learn Luneville Embroidery Techniques offers a beginner-friendly, project-based introduction to Luneville embroidery — a couture technique worked with a special hook on a frame.

The course focuses on creating a stylised camellia composition using beads, sequins, and threads. It’s suitable for those who want to try Luneville embroidery for the first time and prefer working towards a finished, meaningful piece rather than just a sample. The result can be used to embellish garments, add detail to accessories, or stand on its own as textile art.

What’s included:

  • Pre-recorded, step-by-step video lessons
  • Downloadable PDF guides with a design template and material suggestions
  • Ideas for adapting the final piece to fit different wardrobe or project styles
  • Access to a private learning community with tips and recommended suppliers

The course is hosted on Ksenia’s educational platform www.embellishment.design, which focuses on contemporary and practical embroidery techniques.
