I will be exhibiting at Material Encounters: Contemporary Textiles in Focus, taking place from 20–22 March at the Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington (TW11 9NN), London.

Material Encounters brings together contemporary textile artists and presents textile as a serious fine art medium through exhibitions, workshops and a textiles fair.

What I Will Present

At the fair, I will present wall-based works created using Lunéville (tambour) embroidery — a historic French technique traditionally associated with couture fashion, which I adapt for contemporary textile art and interior contexts.

The display will include works from my ongoing Power of No series, including two new pieces shown for the first time at this event. I will also present selected works from Avian Oasis, alongside embroidered monograms that reference both my artistic practice and my private tuition format.

All works will be available for purchase. I will also be open to discussing commissions and embroidery tuition, both online and in person.

Live Lunéville Embroidery Demonstration

Throughout the event, I will demonstrate Lunéville embroidery at my stand. Visitors will be able to observe the technical setup and see how beads and sequins are stitched into textile surfaces from the reverse side using a hook and frame.
