Hand embroidery and textile artist Ksenia Semirova will take part in Sussex Craft Week / Arundel Craft Town 2026 as part of a collaborative presentation with British milliner Isabella Josie, founder of Sussex Hats.
The event will take place in Arundel from 20–28 June 2026. Selected works from Ksenia’s Monogram Series will be displayed at Sussex Hats alongside Isabella Josie’s millinery practice.
The collaboration brings together two practices connected by specialist hand skills, traditional techniques, and contemporary craft. Isabella Josie creates handcrafted luxury hats and headpieces using traditional millinery methods, with a focus on bespoke occasionwear.
Ksenia Semirova is a Hove-based hand embroidery and textile artist who also teaches specialist embroidery classes in London. Her work connects fine art and fashion, using traditional hand embroidery techniques to create contemporary embroidered artworks and wearable pieces.
During Sussex Craft Week, visitors will be able to see how hand embroidery and millinery can sit alongside each other in a shared craft context, from embroidered lettering and stitched surfaces to handmade hats and headpieces.
Ksenia will also give a live Luneville embroidery demonstration on 24 June 2026, showing how this specialist tambour embroidery technique is used to create fine chain stitch, beading, and decorative surface work by hand.
