Description
This two-day private workshop offers focused, one-to-one tuition in Lunéville (tambour) embroidery, held in central London (Pimlico / Victoria). The format is designed for people who want uninterrupted time with the technique and direct guidance throughout the session.
This is an in-person, intensive workshop, limited to one participant per date.
What this workshop covers
The tuition begins with the traditional tambour chain stitch. This stage focuses on understanding how the hook moves, how the stitch is formed, and how it behaves across different directions and shapes.
From there, the technique is applied to a monogram design. Lettering is used deliberately, as it allows you to work with curves, corners, straight lines, and changes of direction within a single composition. As the work develops, beads and sequins are introduced using Lunéville methods, leading to a finished stitched sample.
The emphasis throughout is on practice. You will be working continuously with the hook, building familiarity through repetition rather than demonstration alone.

All materials required for the workshop are included. Tools are provided for use during the session.
